How to link/unlink a resource and a segment

Resources are available to all learners to view and download unless the resource is linked with segments. When a resource is linked with segments only learners in those segments can view and download the resource.

One resource can be linked with multiple segments.

These resources are shown under the documents and policies area on the learner dashboard.

To link a resource to a segment:

1. Click the Settings tab in the side menu or the ⚙ Settings icon in the top-right corner.
2. Find the Elsewhere section and click Organisational segments.
3. Choose the segment from the list and click on its title.
4. Scroll down to find the LINKED DOCUMENTS & POLICIES card.
5. Click the Link resource button on the right of the card.
6. Type part of the name of your resource into the search box to show a list of matching resources and select one or multiple resources from the list. 
7. Click Link resources.

To unlink a resource from a segment:

1. Click the Settings tab in the side menu or the ⚙ Settings icon in the top-right corner.
2. Find the Elsewhere section and click Organisational segments.
3. Choose the segment from the list and click on its title.
4. Scroll down to find the LINKED DOCUMENTS & POLICIES card.
5. Scroll down to find the resource you want to unlink and click the menu icon on the right of the resource’s details to show the menu.
6. Select Remove.
7. Click OK to confirm.
