What Events are
Events in the LMS refer to tasks or activities that occur within the platform. These include actions such as changing settings, uploading users, enrolling learners, sending emails, and learners starting or completing courses. This feature helps administrators monitor platform activity and maintain detailed records of key actions within the LMS.
All events can be tracked on the Events page, which provides:
- A list of all events that have occurred throughout the LMS.
- Links, filters, and an option to export the list of events for reporting purposes.
Each event record includes
- Date and Time: When the event occurred.
- Affected User: If applicable, the user’s name.
- Affected Course: If applicable, the course title.
- Creator: If the event was user-initiated (not automated), it shows the name of the person who performed the action.
How to access events
- Click the Insights tab in the menu.
- Click Events on the list of options to show the EVENTS card.
- All events are listed in a chronological order, to find an event scroll through the list.
How to filter events
- Click Everything at the top right of the page to show the list of filter options.
- Select a filter to show the events list with the filter applied.
How to export events
- Click Download at the top right of the page.
- Click Request export.
- The Events export will be saved in a CSV file format and emailed to you. It can also be downloaded from Jobs complete list at the top right corner. You can use an application like Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers or Google Sheets to perform offline analysis and reporting on a CSV file.
