You add Smart Enrolments by linking a course and a segment. Smart Enrolments then automatically enrols all the learners in the segment onto the linked course. You can link multiple courses with a segment.
New learners in the segment will be automatically enrolled on all courses linked with the segment. Learners that are removed from the segment will be unenrolled from all courses linked with a segment.

Note The course Enrolment method must be set to by assignment only, to learn more see What are the course settings?
To add Smart Enrolments, link a course and a segment:
- Click the Settings tab on the menu bar at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to find the Elsewhere information section and click Organisational segments.
- Scroll down to find your segment then click the menu icon on the right of the segment’s details to show the menu.
- Select Edit.
- Scroll down to find the SMART ENROLMENTS card.
- Click the Link course button on the right of the card.
- Click the down arrow on the search box to show the list of courses.
- Select your course from the list.
Note You can select multiple courses.
- Click Link courses.
To remove Smart Enrolments, unlink a course and a segment:
Caution This action will unenroll all learners in this segment from this course immediately.
- Click the Settings tab on the menu bar at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to find the Elsewhere information section and click Organisational segments.
- Scroll down to find your segment then click the menu icon on the right of the segment’s details to show the menu.
- Select Edit.
- Scroll down to find the SMART ENROLMENTS card.
- Scroll down to find the course you want to unlink.
- Click the menu icon on the right of the course’s details to show the menu.
- Select Remove.
- Click OK to confirm.
