Getting started – Part 1: 6 steps to begin training

Modified on Fri, 8 Aug at 6:04 PM

This article is a step-by-step guide to getting started with the iHasco Atlas Learning Management System (LMS).

Step 1. Log-in

After your company account is set up by iHasco, you will receive two emails:

  1. Your Company Account Details – this lists your company account number, subscribed courses and some useful log-in links.
  2. Atlas administrative access – this includes your Atlas Owner (i.e. admin with maximum level of rights) username and a link to set your password.

Log-in to Atlas using the Set my password and log in link from the email.

Step 2. Add courses to your company account

The LMS displays all available courses, and you can choose to add the ones you need.
To learn how to add a course, see How to add a course.

Once added, your courses will appear under Course Library → My Courses.

Step 3. Add users

Depending on the number of users, they can be added individually or in bulk.

To learn how to add users individually, see How to add an individual user.

To learn how to add users in bulk, see How to add users in bulk.

Step 4. Enrol users

Users can be enrolled individually or in bulk.

To learn how to enrol users individually, see How to enrol/unenrol an individual user on a course.

To learn how to enrol users in bulk, see How to enrol/unenrol multiple users on courses at once.

Going forward, enrolments can be fully automated. To enable this, users must first be organised into segments, and specific courses configured for automatic assignment to all users within those segments.

To learn more, see Smart Enrolments: definition, how to add/remove.

Step 5. Inform users that they can start their training

Send a welcome email to all enrolled users, inviting them to start their training. The email can include a direct log-in link.

To learn more about how to send emails to users, see How to send emails to users.

Step 6. Track progress

Administrators can track user activity (logins, course progress, completions), download usage and completion reports, and access user certificates.

To learn more about monitoring and reporting, see Reporting & Monitoring.

Next, see Getting started Part 2: customise LMS for your needs to set up the platform for the individual needs of your company.
