How to start an assessment manually
Depending on the learner's assessment status you may or may not start an assessment for them:
- Not started - assessment can be started.
- Completed - assessment can be started (it will be a new assessment, the results of the completed one can't be changed.)
- In progress - use reset option instead, see How to reset/delete an assessment.
Start assessment creates the learner’s assessment and changes the assessment status to In progress.
To start an assessment for a learner:
Click the Course library tab in the menu.
Click Assessments tab on the menu bar at the top of the page.
Apply filters to your course results data, see How to use filtering to find an assessment.
Select the learner(s) by clicking the check box(es) on the left of their details.
- The Actions bar shows the number of learners selected, click the arrow on the Actions box to show the menu.
- Select Start assessments.
This creates the learner’s assessment and changes the assessment status to In progress.
Note You can also select this option for an individual learner from the menu on the right of the learner’s details. Click the arrow to show the menu then select Start assessment.
