How to use filtering to find a user

The Learning Management System (LMS) has many options to help you find the user or group of users you are looking for. The filter locations are shown below.


        

Note If you do not use Segments the Filter bar is not shown.    

On the Filter bar near the top of the page, filter by: 


Segments 

  1. Find All segments on the filter bar.
  2. Click the arrow to show the list of segments.
  3. Select a segment from the list to apply your filter.

On the Tab bar, filter by: 

Click a Tab to show users in that group. 

On the Search bar, filter by:  


Course Enrolment

  1. On the Search bar, find Enrolment.
  2. Click the arrow to show the list of enrolment options.
  3. Select an option from the list to apply your filter.


Profile fields with keywords

  1. On the Search bar, find Name or email address.
  2. Click the arrow to show the list of profile fields and custom profile fields.
  3. Select a field from the list.
  4. In the box labelled with keyword(s) enter your search text to apply your filter.

       

Note You can use the * wildcard character to match any number of characters. For example, typing P* in the First name field will show all users with a first name starting with P or p.      

Date range

You can filter by a date type, for example, Created date, and select a range of dates.

  1. On the Search bar, find Date.
  2. Click the arrow to show the options.
  3. Choose to select a date range from the list or create your own date range by typing dates into the Start and End boxes. 


    Note Click the calendar icon to select a date.

  4. In the box labelled Last login, click the arrow to show the date types.
  5. Select a date type from the list to apply your filter.


On the Column headings bar you can sort by:


Click a column heading to sort into alphabetical/numerical order to refine your search.

       

Note To show or hide extra profile fields, click the ellipsis icon (...) in the column headings.

To clear all filters:


Click the Clear filter button on the right of the Action bar.
